Study On The Production Of Termite Active Metabolites By Endophytic Bacteria

Termite is a kind of insect with high destruction, it spreads all over the world. It mainly destroys architecture and dam, causing severe expenses. Nowadays physical and chemical termite control methods have their disadvantages, especially durshan and cypermethrin can cause seriously environmental contamination. Recently, Metarhizium anisopliae and Beauveria bassiana was utilized to control termite. But microorganisms are also contamination to environment. Moreover, different environment cause effect to microorganism, then it direct influence effect of termite control. Along with increase of environmental protection recognizant, exploiting safety termite insecticide is essential. HUB-Ⅰ-004,HUB-Ⅰ-034,HUB-Ⅰ-047 and HUF-Ⅰ-418 from Juniperus virginiana and Chamaecyparis lawsoniana was used as function strains, HUB-Ⅱ-003, HUB-Ⅱ-005, HUF-Ⅱ-001 and HUF-Ⅱ-002 from termite which can decompose lignin and cellulose was indicators, the optimal strain HUB-Ⅰ-047 was screened through bacteriostasis experiment and feeding termite experiment. The result of taxonomy identification showed that HUB-Ⅰ-047 was Bacillus subtilis subsp. virginiana Zhou,Zhao,Hse et.al.subsp.nov.Metabolite of HUB-Ⅰ-047 was analyzed, it showed that active compound which could kill termite was sensitive to temperature and pH, but insensitive to proteinase. So active compound is not proteins or peptides. Metabolite of HUB-Ⅰ-047 was separated and purified utilizing macroporous resin column chromatography, Soemmering’s extraction and thin-laver chromatography methods, then the constituents were detected by bacteriostasis and feeding termite experiments.The final, constituent 1,2-Benzene dicarboxylic acid, butyl 2-ethylhexyl ester which could kill termite was separated.The content of this research was killing termite by microbe metabolite. It established favorable laboratory basis for manufacturing safe termite prevention agentia, and it also offered a new method to prevent termite. Thus, the research had graveness significance.
