Zizyphus jujube and Tongyu jujube was used as matierals in this paper. By means of morphology,anatomy and biochemistry and physiology,Capacity of drought-resistance of Zizyphus jujuba and Tongyu jujuba was studied systemically under water stress.The objective of this experiment was to ascertain and evaluate the drought character of jujube.Then the evaluating content of drought-resistance was enriched further. It could offer scientific evidence for breeding ,culture of drought-resistance and culture in different area of jujube. Morphological index ,biochemical and physiological index on soil water stress were studied in this experiment,includeing plant height,leaf area,dry matter weight of plant,the ratio of root and top, relative water content of leaf, relative electric conductivity, MDA and PRO content, activity of SOD and POD, soluble sugar content,soluble protein content,net photosynthetic rate,stomatal conductance,Ci,transpiration,diumal variation of photosynthetic rate, permanent wilting coefficient and Anatomical structure of leaf, at the same time, physiology of drought-resistance of Zizyphus jujuba and Tongyu jujuba were studied in this experiment,and was evaluated on both of two varietyes.The main result are as followed:1 Under water stress, the growth of jujube was restrained, plant height,dry matter weight and the leaf area dereased,the ratio of root and top increased under short-term water stress, but was restrained along with the process of water stress.2 With water stress going on, the cell membrane systems of jujube were harmed and the osmotic capability boosted up under the water stress, relative electric conductive and MDA content increased, different varieties suffered differently. Protective enzyme activaties of different3 With the increasing of water stress, osmotic and adjustive matter inceased,for example: soluble sugar content and PRO content ,but relative water content of leaf decreased.4 jujuba varieties showed the variation tendency of falling after rising, such as SOD, POD, But the change laws of two kinds of enzymes were different to some extent.5 The data indicated that the content of chlorophyll, chlorophyll a/b, net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance and transpiration of every variety of jujube decreased with the water stress going on.
