The development of seeds and fruits is important content in the plant propagation. The Jcitrin promoter, which is the promoter of seed globulin gene from Citrus sinensis cv Jincheng, has been proved to be a seed specific promoter. Cytokinins play impotent role in the development of seeds and fruits, which can increase flower set, prevent abortion of fruits, induce the assimilation products in the fruits and seeds, stimulate the development of the endosperm and increase fruit size. The Jcitrin promoter was fused with the ipt gene and GUS gene, to construct two plants binary vectors. It's hoped that the function of cytokinins in the fruit and the seed growth were explored theoretically through regulating the gene expression time, the expression position, the expression characteristic to Jcitrin, as well as the assay of cytokinins level. It's also expected the cytokinins level in fruits and seeds can be regulated precisely, and hoped to control the development of seed purposefully in the practical application.As a common vegetable, the capsicum (Capsicum annuum L.) was widely cultivated in Asia, Europe, Central South America and so on. The tissue culture of capsicum is more difficult than tomato and eggplant, despite the three all belong to the Solanaceae plant. The technology of capsicum tissue culture even falls behind many other vegetable crops.
