A systemetic taxonomic study was carried out on Melampsora on the Salicaceae plants in Inner Mongolia in the paper. Identified specimens were all together 286 pieces. These specimens rooted in the collections of our university'teachers and students to some regions of Inner Mongolia in the year one, and the collections of my tutor followed by his task group members and me to all regions of Inner Mongolia from the year of 2003 to 2005. The hostplants involved 3 genus of Salicaceae: 15 species of Populus, 23 species of Salix and 1 species of Chosenia. 19 species of Melampsora were obtained: 4 species parasitized on Populus, 14 species on Salix and 1 species on Chosenia. Thereinto 7 species are new record for China, including 6 species on Salix: Melampsora euonymi-capraearum Kleb. ex Kleb.,M. kupreviczii Zenk.,M. lapponum Lindf.,M. larici-pentandrea Kleb.,M. repentis Plowr. and M. ribesii-viminalis Kleb.; 1 species on Chosenia: M. Kamikotica S. Kaneko & Hirats. f.. 10 species are new records for Inner Mongolia, except for 7 species above, another 3 species are M. ribesii-purpureae Kleb.,M. salicis-albae Kleb. and M. tsinlingensis Z. M. Cao et J. Y. Zhuang. In this paper the 19 species were made into a searching list. To every species, there were their corrected synonyms, morphology descriptions, micrographs and analysis discussions. There were also primary discussions about Melampsora on the Salicaceae plants of taxonomic characters, observeing methods, species conception and so on.
