| Agricultural climate resources are the basic material and energy provided by nature for agricultural production to obtain products. It is also an important environmental factor of agricultural production. This paper presents a means of evaluating and analysis agricultural climate resource in Aksu Area based on GIS technique and climate resource information. This mission belongs to the third agricultural climate regionalization of national weather bureau.Aksu Area locates the south of Tianshan Mountain in Xinjiang, the north of the Tarim Basin. It is an agricultural area combined with herding. Relying on the superior natural condition and larger-scale development construction, the agriculture and herding have developed rapidly. In order to make full use of the natural resource reasonably, the content and the results of research are as follows:1. Having studied the climatic changing characteristics of past more than ten years in Aksu Area, and the yearly changing characteristics of the Aksu climate with the atmospheric background of global warming. The result shows that the temperature of the Aksu Area has been increasing and the precipitation has been tremendously decreasing in the last decades. To agriculture, the changing climate will have a remarkable influence on the crop production. Because the water resources of the Aksu are abundant, the agricultural production is seldom influenced by the amount of water variety. Hence, it is highly necessary to have a research on agricultural climate resource and to improve and have a better exploitation of agricultural environment, and to readjust the agricultural configuration.2. This paper establishes the database of the agricultural climate resources by using the GIS technique. By the ulterior statistical analysis, the digital elevation model and spatial analysis model are established. With the model and the GIS technology, the high-resolution dimensional grid-layer chart of annual temperature and precipitation are based in Aksu Area.
