"Zhonggan 21" is a new cabbage hybrid developed in China. One of its parent lines carries the Dominant Nuclear Male Sterility gene, which was found the first time in the world. The variety exhibits many excellent characteristics, such as early-maturity, high yield, high commercial value and so on.This thesis applies knowledge in Agricultural economics, statistics and other related fields, adopts the method of Delphi to select the scope of subject, PRA to conduct market research and gather data. Through comparative and comprehensive analysis, it analyzes positively and normally the main influential factors in the extension of "Zhonggan 21", and finally comes to the following conclusions:(1) National and regional Agriculture polices, as well as the preference disparity of consumers are the two direct influential factors to the extension of the variety;(2) Poorly educated farmers and undesirable demographics of decision-making people in their families, their lack of experience, as well as the fears to adopt new varieties, unreliable channel of information or shortage of information available, are the subjective influential factors which limit the speed of the variety extension;(3) The adaptability of the variety and the complicated environmental factors should also be considered in the course of extension;(4) Governmental organizations, distributors and Large-scale growers serve as the propellers to the extension while non-agriculture companies contribute little to the variety extension;(5) Male sterility technique will be applied widely in the field of cabbage breeding. According to the conclusions drawn from the above analysis, this thesis proposes correspondingly suggestions, in order to accelerate the application of the new variety, to the problems posed by the negative influential factors, therefore, lays the foundation theoretically for the application of Male Sterility technique in cabbage Breeding.
