Today, micronutrient malnutrion has been one of most essential causes that are harmful to human health, resulting in egregious costs including lower effenciey of learning and work, higher morbidity and healthcare cost, excessive utilization of social resources and national economic resources. Strategy of plant breeding, especially the rice breeding of high mineral element contents and high anthocyanins content in rice seed, is regarded as one of the most economical and sustainable approach which will overcome malnutrion of micronutrient. Developing rice that is rich in mineral elements and anthocyanins in seed will be quitely necessary for preventing and curing diseases, promoting health and defering decrepitude. So it is highly urgent and important to find and identify the genes controlling high mineral element contents and hith anthocyanins content in rice seed. The study was based on F2: 3 population including 200 individuals and 196 lines, derived from a cross between two japonica cultivars"Longjin 1/Xiangruanmi 1578". The genetic variation and correlation coefficient and QTL mapping of Fe, Se, Zn, Cu, Mn, Ca, Mg, K, Na and P contents in rice seed , anthocyanins content in rice seed and some agronomic traits were analyzed. The results were summaried as follows.Fe, Se, Zn, Cu, Mn, Ca, Mg, K, P contents in rice seed and culm length, panicle length, effective panicles per plant, total spikelets per panicle, seed setting rate, thousand grain weight, were showed a continuous distribution near normal in F3 family lines, which were quantitative traits controlled by multiple genes. While Na content and anthocyanins content in rice seed were showed a continuous partial distribution, which were quantitative traits controlled by a few main genes. There existed significant or extremely significant positive correlations between Zn and Fe, Cu contents, Mn and Mg, Ca, K, P contents, Ca and Mg, K, Na, P contents, Mg and K, P contents, P and K, Na contents. However, Fe and Se contents, Mg and Na contents, Mg and Na contents were showed significant or extremely significant negative correlations. Anthocyanins content and Mn, Ca contents were displayed extremely significant positive correlations. There were significant or extremely significant positive correlations between Ca content and total spikelets per panicle, between Na content and...
