Effect Of Different Grazing Intensities On Vegetation And Goat Liveweight In Reaumuria Soongorica Of Steppe Desert

The effect of different grazing intensities on vegetation and goat liveweight of steppe desert in Bulage,Etuoke Front Banner, Inner Mongolia from May to September was discussed. Sheep and goat were used in this experiment. The objective is to provide the guide for the animal production. The results show as follows:1. The proper grazing intensity is 1.04 sheep/hm2 in growth season.2. There are no significant difference on goat liveweight among different grazing intensities.3. The abundance, coverage, and standing crop in goat grazing plot were higher than that in sheep grazing plot. Sheep'daily liveweight gain was higher than goat.4. Soil seed bank shows, plant of species number, richness index, Shannon index declined as the increase of grazing intensity. Meanwhile, the variety of evenness index is not difference with grazing intensity. Comparison of those aspects, goats are also better than sheep in the light grazing intensity. Therophytes have about 90% in life form of vegetation of soil seed bank.
