Being a kind of old plant, oats can resist dry and barren with a high adaptation and yieldand so on. There are two kinds in oats species, one is oats the other is naked oats. Oats is oftenused as forage on animal husbandry. Naked oats is used as grain and forage. Oats is healthfood and forage grass on the feed of fowls and livestock. With this function, it can promotethe development of animal husbandry. Oats is nutrition and health food for the people, whichcan not only improve the food structure and nutrition balance but also satisfy the people'shealth need in the city. Being widespread used in medicine and additive productions, it canhelps to avoid many diseased, such as baby malnutrition, old people's weakness, anaemia,molt, heart disease, and so on.To adapt the development of market economy, we should adjust the agriculture plantstructure of western Jilin Province. And it has boundless prospects on oats planting in westernJilin Province.In this experiment, we have got synthetic analysis on the quality features of oats andwheat. According to the result, we find that the quantity features such as the protein, lipoid,starch, fiber, vitamin, inorganic salt and minute elements are higher in oats than in wheat. Weget the conclusion that the oats' synthetic quality features are better than wheat's. Oats is moreproper to be planted in western Jilin Province than wheat, according to the soil condition,climate condition and oats' living peculiarity. We may get great profit from oats planting anddevelopment.The purpose of this experiment on the quality feature, appraised between oats and wheatis to accomplish the modernization of oats production in western Jilin Province. We also aimto develop oats and wheat more equitable to meet with the economic development of westernJilin Province.
