Study On Immunize-promoting Effects Of "MYZXS" For Newcastle Diseases In Chicks

ND is a kind of acute and highly contagious infectious diseases caused by NDV. NDV can invade many kinds of birds. ND is ranked a type infectious disease by the Office International desEpizooties(OIE). Vaccination is a major measure to prevent ND. But vaccinating failure appears usually due to factors of body internal, vaccine, antibody of maternal, and all kinds of immunize-suppressed factors. Immunize-promoting medicine can enhance efficacy of vaccinating significantly. In order to find a new kind of efficacious immune potentiator for preventing ND, we discussed the effect of MYZXS reinforcing immunization to ND in chicks based on theory of modern animal immunobiology and traditional Chinese-veterinary in this study.Modern medical research indicated that some Chinese herb medicines as MYZXS of this study could strengthen vital energy, adjust immunization of organism, promote special immunization and un-special immunization of organism.This study used single factor designing method. In this experiment, 240 commercial broilers were allocated randomly into four groups, named â… ,â…¡,â…¢ and â…£, each group has 60 chicks, All chicks were immunized with ND vaccine "NEW-BLEN" at 8 days and 23 days. I is contrasted group, â…¡,â…¢ and â…£ are experimental group and fed the diet mixed different dose MYZXS as 0.5%,1%,2% respectively. Immunized index, such as the total amount of white blood cell, thepercentage of T-lymphocyte, the antibody titer of ND-HI, the percentage of neutrophil phagocytosis and phagocytize-index, the index of immunized organs were tested at 15 days, 22 days, 29 days, 36 days, 43 days, 50 days. 20 chicks were selected randomly from each group respectively and were challenged by standard NDV at 35 days, morbidity and mortality of each group were calculated after 14 days.The results indicated: Chinese herb medicine MYZXS could improved the total amount of white blood cell, the percentage of T-lymphocyte, the antibody titer of ND-HI, the percentage of neutrophil phagocytosis and phagocytize-index, the index of immunized organs (thymus, bursa and spleen) and protective ability to challenge of standard NDV. The efficacy of Group IV is better than other groups.The conclusion is that MYZXS can improve immunize-competence and resistant-competence to disease and protective ability to challenge of standard virulently NDV. MYZXS can also reduce morbidity and mortality of chicks.
