In this paper, I choose Dahei Mountain which is on the left of Shuangyang basin as the region of research, and it Lies in the farming-forestry ecotone. the soil is dark brown forest soil ,the type of landscape is secondary forest;both sides are dark soil,the type of landscape is farming landscape. They are Weed community,brush community,Quercus mongolica community,Quercus mongolica - Betula davurica Pall community,broad leaved community.at the same time,take hada range where is on the east of shuangyang basin for comparison, through sampling survey and data processing by software Excel2000 and Spss11.0 . according to the different types of communities and different structure of layer in the communities,making comparisons and analysis of the appearance character,α-diversity index andβ-diversity index of plant community In the ecotone and unecotoneAnalysis of appearance character,αorβ-diversity index of plant communities shows that : biodiversity of forest communities in both the Dahei Mountain in ecotone and hada range demonstrates certain disparity that biodiversity of Dahei Mountain is fewer than one of Hada range. But during the different stages of communities succession, differences of bio-diversity are not the same. when the stage of succession is weed community ,the difference is in minimum;with the processing of succession, the difference is gradually increased; when the stage of succession is broad leaved community, the difference is in maximum.Such differences are also reflected in the the different layers of communities, that is to say, with the processing of succession, similarities of each layer is gradually weakened.the reasons for differences of bio-diversity characteristics include natural factors and human disturbance. On one hand ,landscape heterogeneity of interlock zone prevent from the spread of the species, thus affecting vegetation restoration of interlock zone; on the other hand , human disturbance in the interlock zone is relative stronger. with the processing of succession,differences of biodiversity characteristics are accelerated .
