Abstract/Summary:
Effects of transplanting seasons and ABT-rooting powder on the transplanting survival and influences of paclobutrazol, different fertilizations and Opal organic ferilizer on the chilling resistance were carried out on transplanting oil palm {Elaeis guineensis). The results showed that:1. Spring and autumn are better seasons for transplanting oil palm in Foshan, Guangdong. There are more new leaves and roots grown so as to higher transplanting survive rate.2. ABT-3 treatment induced a significant more new roots compared to ck treatment in since 40d after transplanting. The new leaves quantity at 100 mg/L ABT-3 after 100d was significant more than the other treatments. It indicated that ABT-3 treatment can effectively enhance the transplanting survive of oil palm and the optimum concentration was 100mg/L.3. Paclobutrazol had great influence on chilling resistance. Semi-lethal low temperature LT50 was determined by electro-conductance. The result showed the LT50 of B, A, and C dropped 1.54℃, 0.88℃, 0.77℃ respectively compared with the control. It indicated the paclobutrazol can improve chilling resistance of oil palm especially at 100mg/L.4. Semi-lethal low temperature LT50 was determined by electro-conductance after different fertilizations of oil palm. The LT50 of F, G and E dropped 1.90℃, 1.25℃, 1.02℃ respectively compared with the control. It indicated that fertilization especially compound fertilizer with higher P improved chilling resistance of oil palm.5. Semi-lethal low temperature LT50 was determined by electro-conductance after application of Opal. The LT50 of I, J, H reduced 0.70℃, 0.27℃, 0.18℃ respectively compared with the control. It indicated Opal organic fertilizer can improve chilling resistance of oil palm and the effect of 3000 mg/L was better.
