Studies On Using And Popularizing Of New Rongchang PigⅠin Shanxia Area

In this paper, some quality characteristics of New Rongchang Pig I were determinated, the results of crossbreeding and the proper nutrition level were studied, reproduction performances were analyzed, and the whole set of feeding management rules and the quantity standards of sows which were permitted out of hogpens were drawn up. All technic and economic indexes of the item were accomplished by means of operation departments combined with administration departments, scientific research combined with production, selecting and breeding combined with popularizing as well as all sorts of abroad publicizing and technic directions. More then 200 sows of New Rongchang Pig I were raised in each secondary reproduction hogpen, 25.4 piglets were produced by each sow per year on an average, the survival rate of weanling pigs was 91.64%, the days of market pigs up to 90kg live weight were 166. 7d, the feed conversion was 3.03, and the carcass lean rate was 60.4%, annual gross out put value and net incomes were 185. 76 and 18. 576 millions respectively, and made 10770 transmigrants increase their incomes. Furthermore, the building and manage pattern of all levels hogpens were explored under socialism market economy conditions in Shanxia area.
