The Value Of Caragana Feeding To Sheep And Cows

Ninty-six weighted about 20kg big tail wetheres and nine to fifteen months Holstein cows were used in the experiments to study the nutritive value of peashrub (Caragana).Three feeding experiments were done to improve intake rate of sheep.The fist was different mechanical Processing test, in which flower stage peashrub was cut, rubbed and comminuted and then feeding on three groups of sheep.The Average Daily Gain(ADG) of feeding the rubbed peashrub was better than feeding comminuted peashrub group(P<0.01), feeding rubbed peashrub group was also better than feeding cut peashrub group(P<0.05).The ADG of three groups were 168.72g,157.18g,152.52g.The intake rate of three groups were 95.32%,73.33%,59.85%.Three of them were significant(P<0.01).The second was tender branch and old branch of peashrub feeding test in which fed with tender branch and leaf of group intake rate most high than old breach .The intake rate were 93.44% and 54.72%. Difference was extremely remarkable(P<0.001).The ADG were 152.8g,70.9g (P<0.001).The third test was flower stage peashrub compared with seed stage peashrub . Intake rate of Feeding flower stage peeashrub group was 71.94% which was not significant with feeding seed stage peashrub group that intake rate was 70.85%(P>0.05),but the ADG of feeding flower stage peashrub group was better than feeding seed stage peashrub group(P<0.01).They were 118.95g and 100.7g. B group had a better result with peashrub and cornstalk matching for 2:1.It had the best weight increase. All feeding peashrub group (A group) was second, then feeding 1/3 peashrub and 2/3 cornstalk group(C group) .The worst was feeding all cornstalk group (D group). The ADG of three of them were 105.62g,89.97g,86.65g,70.96g. B group was significant with others group(P<0.01) .A group and C group was not significant(P>0.05),but they were all significant with D group(P<0.01).Intake rate and dry material of intake had high positive correlation (r=0.9944 P<0.01).The intake rate were 71.09%,67.66%,66.64%,61.69%.The batcher rate of B,A,C and D group were 51.55%,50.32%,49.41%,46.80%.B group was significant with D group (P<0.01).A and C group were significant with D group. B,A and C group were not significant (P>0.05).The eye muscle area of B, A, C and D group were 12.22cm2,11.41 cm2,11.03 cm2,9.61 cm2. B group was significant with D group (P<0.01).B, A and C group were not significant (P>0.05). D, A and C group were not significant (P>0.05).
