This paper studied on dynamic growing process, stem-leaf ratio, fresh-dry ratio, re-growth characteristic, community characteristic, yield, nutrition, fall dormancy, physiological ecological characteristic of 22 Alfalfa Cultivars. The results as follows: Twenty-two alfalfa cultivars have significant difference on growing characters. Sitel,Sanditi are the tallest of all, Ningxia,WL232HQ had lower height. There exists significant difference of re-growth characteristic among different Alfalfa varieties.The re-growth characteristic of Victoria,Total,Derby is strong, and that of Guanzhong,Ningxia is weak. The AGR of Zhongmu No.1,Defy is high,of which the ecological adaptiveness is strong, however ,that of WL323ML,WL324 is weak. The RGR of Victoria,AmeriGraze,Zhongmu No.1 is high, of which product efficient is high, however,that of Alfalfa King,Gold Empress,WL323HQ is weak.. Different alfalfa cultivars had significant difference on total yield and different harvest yield. Total,Sanditi,Zhongmu No.1,Sitel,Haygrazer,Defy had higher dry total yield .Ningxia'dry total yield is the lowest dry total yield, had the worst economical efficient. The dry total yield of Sanditi,WL252HQ is more stable, however,that of Guanzhong,Ningxia is unstable. Different alfalfa cultivars had insignificant difference on photosynthesis rate. Queen,Haygrazer,Derby had higher photosynthesis rate, stomal conduct, instant water use efficiency(WUE), and lower transpiration rate .The photosynthesis rate and instant water use efficiency (WUE) of Alfalfa King,Ningxia is low, however, that of transpiration rate is high. Sitel had lower photosynthesis rate and transpiration rate, so that of instant water use efficiency (WUE) is high. Different alfalfa cultivars had significant difference on quality, total crude protein content.WL324,Algonquin,W252HQ had higher Crude protein content, the Crude protein content of Ningxia is the lowest; Victoria,Total,Sanditi had lower crude fiber content, higher digestion ratio, Ningxia had higher crude fiber content, higher dry material ratio, lower digestion ratio, the next is Total,Zhongmu No.1,Defy,Affinity, WL252HQ of dry material ratio is the lowest. Biomass distributing levels of different Alfalfa is different.AmeriGraze,Sanditi,Alfalfa 54,Defy had better plant-type formation, WL252HQ,Ningxia,WL232HQ had poorer plant-type formation and little potentially of high production. Different Alfalfa varieties of the stem-leaf ratio will decrease with increasing the height of plant. AmeriGraze,Algonquin,Alfalfa 54,Affinity,Gold Empress of productive structure is reasonable, that of WL252HQ,Ningxia,WL232HQ,WL323ML is unreasonable. Evaluated 22 alfalfa cultivars comprehensively, Sanditi,Total,Haygrazer,Queen,Derby have better comprehensive characteristics ,which should be recommended in Guanzhong, Zhongmu No.1,Alfalfa 54,Alfalfa King,Guanzhong,Ningxia have poor comprehensive characteristics, which should not be recommended in Guanzhong, other cultivars are medium level ,which can be chosen according to different destination and utilizational ways.
