Abstract/Summary:
The Chinese bittersweet , Celastrus angulatus Max , is a traditional insecticidal plant ,widely distributed over the basin of Yellow River and Yangtze river . More than 60 P -dihydroagarofuan sesquiterpere polyolesters have been isolated since 1980 . In order to establish fingerprint and further study on 3D-QSAR . The studies on the further isolation of insecticidal component from Celastrus angulatus Max. The main results are as follows. 1 Thirteen compounds were isolated and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods including 'H-NMR and 13C-NMR. Four of them ,YH-2 1 α,2 a ,8 β-triacetoxy-9α-benzoyloxy-13-isobutyryloxy-4 J3 ,6 β-dihydroxy-{3 -dihydroagarofuan,YH-101α,2α13-triacetoxy-8 α,9 β-difuroyloxy-4β,6β-dihydroxy-β-dihydroagarofuan,YH-15 1 α,2α,6β,13-tetraacetoxy-8α-isobutyryloxy-9β-furoyloxy-4β-hydroxy-β-dihydroagarofuan and YH-17 1α,2α,6 β,8α-tetraacetoxy-13-isobutyryloxy-9 β-furoyloxy-4 β-hydroxy-β-dihydroagarofuan are new componends. 2 The bioassay results against Mythimna separata Walker showed that YH-2, YH -15, Yh-18, YH-19,YH-21,YH-24 exhibited insecticidal activity. YH-2 (LD50= 280.42 u g·g-1) and YH-24(LD50=201.54 μg ·g-1) exhibited stronger insecticidal activity than Celangulin V(LD50=300.99 μg ·g-1);YH-19(LD5o=307.13μg ·g-1)and Celangulin V represented the same insecticidal activity; YH-21 (LD50=410.04 μg ·g-1 ) were weaker than Celangulin V. YH-17 and YH-20 exhibit narcotic action, narcotic action of YH-20 was stronger than YH-17. Narcotic rates of YH-20 was up to 100% at 8h, at the concentration of 1%.
