Land resource is an indispensable basis of material. It's the basic carrier of human production and activity. Nowadays there are questions such as low information level, tough data exchange in land management in our country. Based on the investigation of the social economy and natural environment of Agriculture-Pasturage interlaced zone of Northern Shaanxi, taking GIS software (ARC/INFO and Arc View) and Visual Foxpro as basic plat, construction and application of land management information system were studied in this paper. Research results were as follows: 1. Combing with the character of study area, thinking about the serious problem of soil elusion and desertification, we paid more attention to land use dynamic monitoring and land resource evaluation. In land management model, we designed land use dynamic monitoring alone in order to monitor the situation of soil elusion and desertification in Agriculture and Pasturage interlaced zone of Northern Shaanxi. This will stand out the function of the system in this way. 2. Data in the system was carried out by < land classification in China> promulgated by the department of land resource in August, 2001. Database was designed by model, which offered the experiences in protecting and expanding the database. In data management we adopted data management model, which can easily implement the relation between spatial figure data and attribute data. 3. Based on the database, taking Visual Basic as basic plat, with the main methods of the technology of Objected programming, combing with my principium research and theory and application of dynamic monitoring, attribute database and land evaluation, studied the establish technology on regional land resource information database, discussed the approach, present questions and development orientation, in order to provide reference for land management information. Firstly, the foundation of Agriculture-Pasturage interlaced zone of Northern Shaanxi provides land information comprehensively, efficiently and promptly; secondly, this project achieves the automation of land text data's input, storage, analysis, management, query and output, and so with such as spatial data and attribute data; finally, it can offer experience of building world-wide land management information and basis for government to conduct and formulate. 4. With the method of land management information system of Agriculture-Pasture interlaced zone of Northern Shaanxi, studied land use dynamic monitoring of the area, the result show that dry farmland's area is in minority and decreases year by year; the land type changed sharply is saline-land; the are of desertification land in study area drastically expanded; the increasing of wasteland and saline land indicate that the land quality in study area is decreasing. Expanding of sand's area show that land desertification in Agriculture and Pasture interlaced zone of Northern Shaanxi tend to be enhanced and the whole situation of sandy desertification becomes serious and serious. The results can offer guideline for land use and management of land resource in study area.
