This article was composed of two experiments which were used to provide scientifical reference for protection and reasonable utilization of Tibetan antelope. Experiment1: Study on Shatoosh quality. Physical quality and chemical component of Shatoosh and hair in Tibetan antelope were determined, meanwhile, which was compared to cashmere and hair in Tibetan gazelle, Tibetan goat, Chaidamu Cashmere goat and Qing hai semifine woolled sheep. The conclusion suggested: 1) Shatoosh diameter and stretched length were changed from different body locations. The location of body side with the finest diameter and body of ham with the shortest stretched length, which significantly different with other locations were observed (P<0.05). The diameter of Shatoosh fiber was significantly finer than cashmere which was in Chaidamu Cashmere goat and Tibetan goat (P<0.01), and finer than that of in Tibetan gazelle (P<0.05). The Stretched length of Shatoosh fiber was significantly shorter than cashmere which was in Chaidamu Cashmere goat (P<0.01), shorter than that of in Tibetan goat (P<0.05), and with the tendency of longer than that of in Tibetan gazelle. The elongation at break of Shatoosh fiber was higher than cashmere which was in Tibetan gazelle, but there no difference was found compared with cashmere.2) Ringely scale shape was obversed in fiber of Shatoosh and the average height of it was 29.89μm, which was significantly higher than hair of Tibetan goat, Chaidamu Cashmere goat, and Tibetan gazelle as well (P<0.01), higher than cashmere mentioned above and Qing hai semifine wool (P<0.05). While non-ringely scale shape arranged irregularly was found in hair of Tibetan antelope, which differed significantly with other hair determined.3) The component of αprotein of Shatoosh fibre and hair were composed of 20 kinds of amino acids, same as other wool or cashmere, but the content of each amino acid was different. The content of Histidine in Shatoosh was 5.88%, which was 4 percents higher than other wool or cashmere. The content of Cystine was 10.60%, the highest among experimental samples, which would be embodied the excellent fiber quality and textile performance.The amount of alkali amino acid was close to acid amino acid was found in Shatoosh, which suggested that Shatoosh has strong capbility to resist alkali and acid solution, microorganism etal. The ratio of Paa to Daa was less than 1, which confirmed the point came from alkali and acid amino acid again. 4) There no difference was found in mircoelements content of C, H, O and N in Shatoosh fiber compared with other samples. The amount of S was found close to cashmere of Tibetan goat, while higher than other samples. 5) The trace elements content of Cu, Fe and Zn was in normal level, but Mn, Se and Mo was low to its and Se was no less than 2/3 of average level in seriously lacked area was found. Experiment 2: Study on Content of Cheif Nutriments in Soil and Plants of TwoType of Alpine Meadow in H oh Xili Area during cold Season. The results are as follows: 1) Nutritative quality of dominted plants and mixed herbage samples in September was superior to that of in Apirl and in Kooresia Pyyuea was superior to that of in S.Purpurea Griseb. 2) Regardless of dominted plants or mixed herbage samples, the content of Zn was lower than the normal level, Se and Mo was lack, Cu lied in normal range, Ca, S, and P was abundance which can satisfy the animal and plants growing healthly, while Fe and Mn was excessively higher than normal level.3) Except for Kooresia Pyyuea Alpine Meadow with acid soil (pH= 6.06) in September, the soil was all in alkalescence reaction. 4) The soil was rich in Ca, total N and available S, which can meet the need of plant healthly growth. But the contents of total and available P were lower than deficiency level. 5) Compared with the normal level of the soil, the contents of Cu, Fe, Zn and Mn was in, while Se and Mo was in critical deficiency level.
