With environmental ruin increasingly, people start to study the effect on plants in various environmental stresses. And people pay more attention to the effect on plants in high temperature season caused by greenhouse effect. Cotton cannot grow naturally and boll increase in high temperature period. In order to gain high yield, we studied the effect of heat shock at different growth phase and germinating on stress tolerance in cotton. Results view that heat shock treatment at germinating increased the activity of antioxidant enzyme especially the activity of SOD, POD, CAT, and decreased cellular injure caused by reactive oxygen species, and decreased the content of MDA and electric conductivity in cotton, then protect cotton from injury in high temperature period and cotton can grow naturally in high temperature period. So heat shock treatment can increase cotton's stress tolerance and decrease the boll in high temperature. And the activity of SOD, POD, CAT, in brown - lint variety and green - lint variety is period to the ordinary cotton which is due to the colored - lint cotton is contiguous to wilding cotton. But heat shock treatment at different growth phase increased the activity of antioxidant enzyme especially the activity of SOD, POD, CAT, and increased the content of MDA and electric conductivity in cotton which indicated cotton was harmed in heat stress.
