Water storage pit irrigation is a kind of new irrigation method that solves the problem of drought of orchard in hilly region and water and soil erosion of north China. The unique feature of the method combines water saving irrigation with water and soil conservation according to the characteristics of fruit tree and the arid and unwatered truth of north China. The research of the method is still in indoor study stage. Its water saving mechanism and some technical parameter still need to be confirmed. Therefore, the further researching for water storage pit irrigation has great theoretical and practical significance.In the paper, the indoor experimental research of water storage pit irrigation has been done and numerical stimulation onthree dimension soil moisture movement of multi water storage pit has been established. The object matter include:l.The research on single pit infiltration experiment in different water influxExperiments are carried out about the single pit infiltration of homogeneous sandy loamy soil under different water influx. The main conclusions are as follows: The first, the shapes of the wetting pattern of single pit infiltration are similar; the second, the relation between the advancing distance of horizontal and vertical wetting front under different water influx and the time is logarithmic; the third, the more the water influx, the longer the advancing distance of horizontal and vertical wetting front.2.The research on numerical stimulation of three dimension soil moisture movement of multi water storage pitThe time splitting method and Gauss-Seidel alternate motion are used to solve the numerical stimulation of three dimension soil moisture movement of multi water storage pit in this paper. During the numerical solved course, the solved formula of constant infiltration time has been deduced and the numericalsolved method in the infiltration boundary conditions of varying head in water storage pit has been established. Contrast analysis has been done to the experiment data.
