Study On The Reproductive Performance Of Landrace And Yorkshire Crossbred Sow

In practice, heat appraisal and mating of Landrace and Yorkshire crossbred (LY) sows is a big problem, which directly affects the extend the three way crossbred pigs using Duroc, Landrace and Yorkshire (DLY). In order to solve this problem , this thesis focuses on the LY sows comparing with Lahdrace and Yorkshire purebred sows under the same condition. According to the study on the LY sows kept in the countryside and experiment on LY sows, landrace and Yorkshire purebred sows under the same condition, it concludes that the production performance of LY sows kept in scale farms is much better than that of those kept separately. The results showed that the reproductive performance of LY sows was better than two purebred sows. LY sows showed significant heterosis in reproductive traits and was easier to detect the heating and mating.Finally in this thesis, the method and the technical measurements of LY sows raising abundantly in the countryside were put forward.
