Studies On The Biological Characteristics Of Pears Introduced From South Koera

In this experiment, the main phonological periods, growing and bearing habits and fruit development were studied on Whangkeumbae, Wonhwang pear, Shisho pear and Whasan pear, which were introduced from South Koera. The main results were as follows:1. The varieties could grow and bear normally in the South and Middle parts of Hebei province. The main phonological periods were identical except the maturation, and the first swellings of them appeared on early March, then bloomed on early April. The blooms were later than that of Yali pear, so they didn't encounter the late-frost in normal year.2. the growing habits were as follows:(1) Shisho and Whangkeumbae had two peaks during the growing course, one of peaks appeared on early and middle April, another appeared from early May to late June, at the middle of them were slow growing stage. While Wonhwang had not the slow growing stage, and Whasan only had one growing peak at first and middle April.(2) The area of leave peak appeared from early April to middle April, and the leave stopped growing on May.(3) Compared the response of heading-back with that of normal growing on one-year shoots, we found that the budding rate and shooting rate of former were bigger than those of latter, The diversity of two treatments was inapparent on Shisho pear and Wonhwang pear, and the diversity of budding rate was prominent, while shooting rate was inapparent on Whangkeumbae and Whasan pear.3. The bearing habits were as follows:(1) The setting rates of inflorescence were high and the setting rates of flower were about 40 % except Wonhwang pear, so we must took the measure of wiping off the flower and little fruit extrictly.(2) The bearing of four varities relied on the short fruit shoots mainly, and the flower formed easily. Flower bud rates of them were about 40%.(3) The spouting ability of accessory shoot of Whasan pear was strong, and that of Wonhwang Pear as well as Shisho pear were middle, and that of Whangkeumbae was weak; Whasan pear and Whangkeumbae spouted single shoots mainly, and Shisho spouted double shoots only, and Wonhwang pear had single shoot and double shoot simultaneously.
