Effects Of Paclobutrazol And Daminozide On Physiological Activities And Ornamental Characters Of Marigold(Iagetes Erecta L)

The experiment was carried out in the Yantai Agricuiture School in lateJuly 2004.Experiment matters was marigold(Iagetes erecta L).Seedlingsabout 8cm high was bought from the nursery of Yantai and transplanted toplastic pot, Whose diameter is 12cm and setted in the open air .Physiologicaland ornamental effect of paclobutrazol and claminozide on the marigold wasstudied .The results were as follows:1. Different redardents have effects on Marigold at the same time1.1 The dry matter accumulating was increased.1.1 Paroxydase activity and ornamental value were distinctly increased 。1.2 Paroxydase activity was distinctly increased and the production of GAwas inhibited .IAA was oxidized and intrinsic IAA contend was dropped .Sothe height of Iateges erecta L was inhibited .Stems were thickened andshorted.1.3 Chlorophyll content was improved and photosynthetic speed wasenhanced .But respiratory consume was reduced, which was for theproduction and transformation of nutritional matter in bodies to improve ,forthe flowering duration to prolong and for flower qaulity to improve .Theleaves were greener ,longer and thicker .1.4 The development of root was improved ,which was for the life of Iageteserecta L .1.5 The content of Pr was improved ,which provide more nutrition andenergy for flower 。The number of flowers and flower coloure wereachived .1.6 SOD and CAT activities in the tissue of treated Iagetes erecta L wereimproved ,which inhibited injuries ,and so the senescence was delayed .2 Diffrent retardants have effects on Marigold at different time2.1 Paclobutrzol and Daminozide treated at later time have the same effecetswhich retardent the increase of dry matter...
