Banana is one of the most important crop in the Torrid zone and subtropics, it is part and parcel of agriculture in these areas. But it is apt to suffer injury by cold wave for it's physiologic characteristic so that large of loss have being made, so it is urgent to study the cold resistant mechanism of banana and manufacture an available cold resistant drug for banana.In this article the effects of six different drugs to the cold resistance of banana seedling have been studied from physiology designed with Orthogonal experimental design L9 (34) and randomized complete-block design , and the best constituted concentration of two drugs also been reasoned. In the same time the mechanism of these two substances to improve the cold resistance of banana seedlings and its mechanism of cooperate with each other have been researched so conclusions could be drew as follow:1. BT, CTS, ABA, SA, Vc and CaCl2 could enhance the cold resistance ability of banana seedlings. The effect of different drugs and different standard of the same drug were different. BT is the best drug and the next to the CTS.2. BT was cooperate with CTS to the cold resistance of banana, but the effects to different guideline were different , the cooperated coefficient order was MDA content> SOD activity> dissolubility protein content> fix-water/free-water> damage rate>cold sens- itivity>reconductance >Chylla/b> POD activity> dissolubility sugar content.3. BT cooperated with CTS to improve the ability of banana cold resistance mainly by enhancing the activity of SOD, decreasing oxidation of cell membrane and it's product MDA, increasing the ratio of fix-water in the composition water and dissolubility protein content.4. The cooperated mechanism between BT and CTS may be the effect of simple pile up or the effect of releasing slowly.5. As far as BT and CTS were concluded, the content of MDA, activity of SOD, content of dissolu- bility protein, fix-water/free-water and damage rate could be the main guidelines to differ- entiate the cold resistance ability of banana seedlings.6.
