| In the paper, Criteria and method of selecting elite trees of Casta nopsis fissa and progeny test were studied on. The results showed that:(1) Absolute value was suitable for selecting elite trees of Casta nopsis fissa primarily. Using tree growth increment, fiber length, ratio of fiber length to width, ratio of fiber cell wall to cavity combined to select elite trees could improve the effect of selecting. (2)Correlation analysis showed that breast diameter and height increment per year had no significant relation with wood basic density while length of the seeds had significantly negative relation with it. Seedling properties could be reflected by the seed properties of elite trees to some degree. (3) Progeny test showed broad range of variance coefficient of different properties. Height of different families had significant relation with each other except group 3rd. Number of leaves were extremely significant relative among families in group 1st. The dry material of the whole seedling showed significant or extremely significant relation among families except that in group 3rd. (4) Heritability of height, ground diameter numbers of leaves was high. Numbers of lateral root, weight of dry lateral root, dry fibrous root, dry stem, dry leaves and the total dry material of the seedling were controlled by not high heritability. Selecting with 10% families, Effect of group 1st was the best. (5) 12 superior families were chosen by multi-property combined method. (6) The rhythm of the height growth showed: the seedlings grew all the year. May to July and August to September were two peaks of growing though after September seedlings grew slowly. |
