| The vine vegetative vigor could influence the yield and quality of the grape. How to monitor and evaluate the vine vigor is one of important questions in the viticulture. Due to the developing of precise viticulture and mechanization on viticulture, the researchers and viticulturists are focusing on improving the method of monitoring and evaluating vine intra-plot vegetative vigor. The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) was applied on forecasting the crop growth statue and estimating their yield shows advantage to evaluate the vine vigor.In Bordeaux, vines with different vigor, or grafted on different rootstock, or planted in different soils within 5 plots in the vineyards of Chateau Palmer and Chateau Luchey-Halde were measured on-ground biophysical data and monitored by NDVI. The study distinguished that NDVI carried out similar results as on-ground results, no matter on-ground measured the vines' intra plots vigor were significant different or not. Moreover, the NDVI was significantly corrected to on-ground biophysical data, such as young vine shoot length, young shoot daily growth rate, leaves areas per vine, N-Tester index and vine stem water potential. This study indicated that NDVI could be used for evaluating the vine intra plot vegetative vigour. |
