Cultivator is one kind of high-yield, small agricultural machine which is widely used in agricultural production. Driven by the minitype single-cylinder diesel engine , and because of execrable working situation ,the vibration on the handle of cultivator is very serious, which does great harm to the health of the operator. In this point, some study to find ways of reducing the vibration should be done.In this dissertation, virtual prototype models of the transportation cultivator and ploughing cultivator were built modeling with the GN31 cultivator using ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems) . Testing analysis to the virtual models was done . Vibration mechanism of the cultivator was studied, and the design of a new vibration isolation handlebar with damp was given. Studies indicate that:(1) The vibration on the handle of cultivator is most serious when the cultivator is doing transportation on uneven road unloadly, and the vibration is less serious when the cultivator is doing transportation on uneven road fully loadedly. The vibration when ploughing is less serious than transporting state. The main stimulation of the vibration is engine and the stimulation of the uneven road have great influence.(2) The designed vibration isolation handlebar can reduce 50 percent to 80 percent of the vibration on the handle and makes it meet the 2-4 hours' safe work requirement in ISO5349/1978.
