As there are a lot of organic and inorganic nutrition that plant needed in the mud of city sewage factory, recycling is very important. From the research during internal and outside the country, it shows that the mud could get the plant growth, increase the quality of the plant, and give agrology nutrient and microbiology active, increase dankly of soil, reduce density of the soil, etc.Shanghai is the biggest city in China. On one hand, the ground is very lack, as an important resource of city environment, people usually influence the city soil. Now there are lower organic nutrition in the soil as normal, the structure is hardening, vent-plug is lower etc. commonness, the quality of the soil is very pessimism. One another hand, as Shanghai is a circumlittoral city, the area of the sands is very large, especially during the development of the city, the method is to build up field around sea, the quality of the land was been very bad. However the quality of the city soil directly influence plant growth and the green space development.This study was conducted to analyze the physics and chemical characteristics of the mud from two representational Sewage factories we selected (Chen qiao factory is a municipal sewage factory and Zhuyun factory is an industrial sewage factory). According to the proportioning scheme, 8 treatment were set, including the original soil, soil plus fertilizer, soil plus 2.5% mud, soil plus 5% mud, soil plus 10% mud, soil plus 20% mud, soil plus 30% mud and soil plus 45% mud mixture. The dry weight of each soil was 1100kg, and each treatment set three to four repetition.During the mixture as above, we selected each of mud and green soil, mud and beach soil, mud as the organic fertilizer's experiments in Shanghai, and the results of mineral content in the soil and distribution in plants provided the foundation for the mud application for the potted plant. As normal, 5%-10% of mud showed more effects for plant growth and development. From the results of mixture mud with sands, the quality of the soil was improved. As basically, most of them suit for the standard of Shanghai.From the comparing of the mud and soil improvement material, if the mud from sewage factory was qualified, it will not be second time pollution. And from the differenceof the analysis of cultivate, result showed that mud as the soil improvement material is as economic as substantial.
