This paper firstly debates about the domestic and international development of materiel-ology basing on the studying on and referring to large quantities of datus. It points out that as the mark of beginning from the paper 《The Pressure of Corn》, people started to study physical characters of crops , fruit and food etc continuously because of the quick development of agricultural mechanize for fruit and vegetable produce and urgently needing to designing and production. In that people needed to grasp basic agricultural physical character and datus ,which pushing the test and research of the agricultural materiel to develop rocketly.As the theory foundation of the system, professor N .Mohsenin published his three books. After that serial important events took place in the the agricultural material region which establishing more harder foundation for it. With the development and applying of computer, finite element method and all kinds of sensor-test, the United States and Japan paid more attention to the study of agricultural materiel physical character. At the same time they also took actions to improve on the accuracy and level of theory. Agriculture materiel characteristic researching refers to the method of traditional physical method generally. Firstly to test the mechanical character and analyze theoritically , then to apply the results in practical production. This paper in details illuminated the extensive application of the material mechanical character.After the introduction of materiel character, This paper presented the brief history of rice-planting, though people invented serial ways to plant rice , there is a trend to returning the initial method. But it is not a simple returning and it is a qualitative development with the improvement of the science and technology and people can resovle many difficulties which could not be settled at that time.The content of this paper namely the technology of Rice bud directly -sowing is just the revolution to the primary method. Rice bud directly -sowing not only overcomes trivial work from tranplant seedlings method but also gets rid of the disadvantages of seed-directly-sowing. So it is a new new way to plant rice.Rice bud directly -sowing is a new planting technique which is to sow the rice bud seeds into in the soil with a certain machine after germinating the bud to 1 ~ 3 mms later in order to alleviate labor strength brought by trivial traditional planting measure. Ror designing plant machine, the research on materiel character of rice bud seed then is one of the most important work.This paper studied on the materiel character of rice bud seed. As the examples of often using species in practical production: NO.19 nongda. NO.13 nongda. NO.10 nongda, it tested serial materiel character parameters such as three axis inch , kilo-grain-weight , inner friction angle, glide friction angle, it also utilized the software Simulink to simulate the critical velocity of rice bud seeds . Because rice bud seeds is a complicated materiel, including base of seed and bud , The paper researched on the different parts of rice bud seed, in the end , it concluded that the conjunction part of the base and the bud is the most weakest. So in designing, we should pay the most attention to this part.
