| 468 HaiLan White laying hens,aged 28 weeks were divided into 9 groups according to the liveweight and laying rate,, There were four replications in every group and thirteen laying hens in every replications .The trial term lasted 12 weeks.The higher cottonseed meal diets that digestible Met,Lys, Thre and Trp were balanced , were formulated.0,5%,10%, 15%,20%,25% cottonseed meal (containing FGO, 36, 71, 107, 143, 179mg/kgrespectively) and15%, 20%, 25% (FG:61, 82, 102mg/kg respectively) detoxifying cottonseed meal were added to diet. The effect of higher gossypol content on the laying egg was studied?the results showed: (l)The laying rate,average egg weight, ration of feed to egg, average feed intake and mortality rate were not significant during the whole period(P>0.05). (2) The residual content of FG in egg was highly significant(P<0.01), rised with the time and FG level of diet, the highest value was on tenth week (3) The residual content of FG in meat and liver was highly significant(P<0.01),twelfth highest (4) The residual content of FG in different product was liver>egg>meat. But they lower than the Country Standard. (5) The egg-shape index was was not significant(p>0.05). (6)The egg shell thickness was not significant(p>0.05). (7) The york colour of the groups of 107, 143, and 179mg/kg FG was green-yellow, the albumen colour muddly, the storage of egg was difficult (8)The effect of higher cottonseed meat diet on the RBC was significant during0-4weeks (p<0.05);non-significant during 5-12weeks(p>0.05) (9)The total protein was highly significant during0-4weeks and 9-12 weeks (p<0.01); significant during 5-8weeks(p<0.05) The albumin was non-significant during 5-8weeks whole trial time (p>0.05) The change curve the the IgG content was same as the one of TP (10)The UA was not significant during 0-12weekso (p>0.05). (11)MDA, was not significant(p>0.05)rised with FG content and decreased with the delay of time.
