| In order to improve the soil conditions and environment conditions, to promote the pear trees growth and development, and to increase the fruit quality, in this experiment paclobutrazol substituted for pruning to control weeds growth in pear orchard. Three-year-old 'daguo shuijing' pear was used as the material. The effects of paclobutrazol with different concentrations (900g/hm2,1125g/hm2, 1350g/hm2) on the growth of weeds between the lines and under the trees were studied. And the effects of this soil management on soil temperature, soil moisture, soil aeration and air temperature, air humidity; pear trees growth and development ,and fruit quality were also discussed. The results showed that all treatments of different concentration paclobutrazol significantly inhibited the weed growth, while increased the tillering of graminacease weeds and the weed number per unit area. As to common garbgrass, these treatment reduced the plant height, leaf length; and internode length. But the inhabitation effects of paclobutrazol on two broad leaf weeds Amaranth pigweed and Velvet leaf were less obvious than on graminaceous weeds. The application of paclobutrazol increased soil water content, decreased soil bulk density and soil temperature. The soil temperature was stable within a day. But the effect on the temperature and humidity in the middle of tree-crown was little. The elongations of shoot and internode were inhibited. But tubbiness growth of the shoot was slowly. The leaf aeras and the specific leaf weight were increased, the trunk growth was promoted. After application of paclobutrazol, average fruit weight, yield, the content of fruit soluble solid matter, the content of fruit soluble sugar, the content of fruit Vc and the flesh firmness were increased. The fruit had a larger L/D rate , but it had little effect on the rate of fruit sugar/acid .So to control weeds in pear orchard , it is feasible by paclobutrazol than by herbicide and cutting. |
