There are many concerns to some serious problems with the use of herbicides. Recently, with advanced acknowledge in the GST-catalyzed GSH conjugation for detoxifying some herbicides, more efforts are needed to do some researches on it.The study used biological and math way to analyze the crops' tolerance to acetochlor or atrazine through deciding the different herbicide concentration that can inhibit 50% plant shoot height. GST activities in crops was analyzed in Habig way and GSH levels was analyzed in Jean way. GST polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was performed to show compounds of isoenzymes in different crops with and without herbicide treatment.1. The results showed: with the treatment of acetochlor, the curves had a single peak that usually reached at 3th day. GST activities and GSH levels in crops had same sequence with their tolerance against acetochlor. The sequence of maize cultivars' was Dongnong248> Dongnong9702> DongnongWannian >DongnongBaoLie >DongtianNo3.The sequence in sorhum was Tongza No2>Aoza No2>R741;In grass was Etoubai>Yugu. In same crop.the sequence of GST activities was high concentrations>middle concentrations>low concentrations.2.With the treatment of atrazine,the curves had single peak that usually reached at 2th day. In same crop,the sequence of GST activities was high concentrations>middle concentrations>low concentrations.3. The GSTactivities and GSH levels had same correlative rate with the crop tolerance against acetochlr in moderate level. GST activities were highly related with to their tolerance against atrazine. But GSH levels had definitely low correlative rate with their tolerance against herbicides.4.GST isoenzymes in every crop cultivars showed constitutive GST without treatment were different in crop cultivars. With the treatment of acetochlor and atrazine, it showed higherGST activities than untreated in crops, except of maize DongtianNo3 and grass Yugu almost the same.
