In this paper, the author tested the bioactivity of 8 kinds of insecticidal plants such as Stellera chamaejasme L. Eupatorum adenophrum Spreng etc., and found the best result was Stellera chamaejasme L. So the author systematically studied the effects of the root of Stellera chamaejasme L. against stored grain pest. Finally, the author obtained a high efficient purified component against Sitophilus oryzae, and its emendation mortality was 933% with the dose of 80 ppm(0.08g/kg),which was isolated by physical methods such as systematic extraction chromatography and HPLC . The sample structure was analyzed by IR UV MS and chemical tests. By analyzing the author speculated it was probably 10 ,13-dimethyl -17-ethyl-3-sterone.This research provides the substantial basis for the exploitation of the new pesticide what is harmless to the mankind.
