This is a investigation with the aim to find out the principle of the formation of the calculus bovis and the agents effecting the formation. In this investigation, experiment was done on three cattle with the intubation of the left or right biles duct of the livers, the interruption of gallbladder and the intubation of gallbladder and dodecadactylon, three intubate drawn out of the body. The cannulas of the gallbladder and dodecadactylon to the bonds of the fixing keepe of the AG which is out of the body are connected and the methode of planting calculus bovis in the AG out of the body is investigated. After the operation. The bile in the intrahepatic bile duct through the intubate of the liver, the gall-bladder bile through drain pipe of the gallbladder and the bile in the AG are collected. The physical and chemical characters and the main components of the bile have been analysed. The number of the bacteria in the bile is counted. Thus the principl of the formation of the calculus bovis and the agents effecting the formation of the calculus bovis have been found out. The result of the investigation are stated followed .l.The content of the bilirubin in the bile of the liver, the gallbladder and the AG first stepped-up significantly after the operation, then it decreases to the state of equilibrium. In the three types of the bile, the content of the bilirubin in the bile of the biles duck of the liver is the hightest while the content of the bilirubin in the bile of the AG is the lowest. The difference is very significant(pO.Ol). The content of cholalic acid in the bile of the liver decrease after operation, the content of cholalic acid in the bile of the gallbladder is the highest while the content of cholalic acid in the bile of AG is the lowest, and the difference is not significant(p>0.05). The content of mucin in the bile stepped-up. The content of mucin in the bile of the gallbladder is the highest of the three. The content of mucin in the bile of AG is the lowest in the three spots. The difference is very significant(p<0.01). The pH value of the bile decreased after the operation. The pH value of the bile in AG decreased very significantly(pO.Ol) as to pH=6.5. The content of the calcium ions and the magnesium ions in the bile decreased too. But it is not too different with the content before the operation(p>0.05). The difference of the content of the calcium ions and the magnesium ions in the bile of the liver, the gallbladder and the AG is not significant.2.Bacteria in the bile of the intrahepatic bile duct and gallbladder before planting the calculus bovis have not been found. By inoculating the nonpathogenic E.coli which can bear the bile into the AG on the seventh day after the operation. It is found that thecount of the E.coli in the bile of the three spots increased greatly. The numbers of it in the bile of the biles duck which is in the liver, the gallbladder and the AG are 106> 107"\ 109 /ml. Through analysis, it is found that the number of the E.coli in the bile has intimate relation with the content of the bilirubin in the bile and the content of cholalic acid in the bile.3.Through the histopathologic examination on the liver of the calculus bovis-planted cattle, something has been found as followed. The structure of the liver cell is fundamentally normal. The bile ducts proliferated and expanded geatly. Inflammatory cells infiltrated around the bile duct transparently. There are even and red-dyed substance in the bile ducts. Bilirubin deposit in the bile canaliculi of the the calculus-bovis-planted cattle. The changes of the histology certified that the spot formaing the calculus bovis is based in the intrahepatic. The observation of the liver ultra structure with electron microscope is as followed. The constitution of the liver is fundamentally normal. The mini bile ducts expanded. The microvillus became swelling and thick. The synovial endoplasmic reticulum increased. The cisternae of synovial endoplasmic reticulum widened. Some of the the synovial endoplasmic reticulum change...
