Research was conducted to determine the disease rate , disease index and the protective enzyme activity of endophyte-infested and endophyte-uninfected of crossfire II and Adobe after inoculation brown patch's pathogeny in definite condition.1 .Disease rate and disease index of endophyte-infested of the two vanities are both significantly lower than that of the endophyte - uninfested endophyte can increase the resistance of tall fescue to brown patch. And in our condition endophyte can lower the disease index by more than 30 %.2. The activity of POD, PAL, 0-1, 3-glucanae and chitinases are all have than endophyte-uninfested plant. The changing tendency of enzyme activities is correlation to the disease. So we can infer that endophyte can improve the resistance to the brown patch by the activities change of plant3. The activity of PPO of endophyte-infested plant have an increasing tendency during the first four days after inoculated Rhizoctonia solani ,and then there is an decreasing tendency and the activities of the 8th day is lower than that of the activity before inoculation .but activity of endophyte-uninfested have an decreasing tendency in the first two days and then have the same tendency to the endophyte-infested plant. But the activities of endophyte-infested plant are higher than that of the endophyte-un infested from 2nd day to 4th day. But the activity of endophyte-uninfested are higher than that of the endophyte infested from the fourth day to eighth day .So PPO activity change are not correlation to the resistance of tall fescue to brown patch. This result is not consistent to the literature, if we want to explain the result ,we must make further study in molecular biology.4.The five kinds of enzyme activities of Endophyte-infested plant are all lower then or nearly equal to that of Endophyte-infested plant.
