Two maize species of drought-resistance LuYu No. 14 and drought-sensitive Ye Dan No. 13 were cultivated by solution in the mode of simulated water stress with PEG .The signal transduction substances and route between ABA and osmotica such as proline , free amino acid .soluble sugars ,potassium ,sodium .calcium and Lea protein were discussed under water stress. The aim is to offer academic foundation for the role of phospholipase D /C and Ca2+/CaM in plant' anti-adversity and in ABA signal transduction .The main results were as follows:1.The water stress condition was simulated by PEG-6000, feeding the maizes seedlings roots with ABA, KC1 and TEA(inhibitor of K* channel), and the content of proline in the twe maizes species with different drought-resistence was examined.The results show the content of proline in the roots of maizes seedlings appears the trends of rise and subsequent decline along with osmotic stress's intensify,and the exogenous ABA promote the accumulation of proline and K* may act in the above process .There is no apparent diffrence in the proline contents of the two varieties under water stress.2.The different water stress condition were simulated by 10% and 15% PEG-6000, feeding the maize seedlings roots with ABA, neomycin sulfate (PLD/PLC inhibitor),ancymidol (ABA inhibitor),the content of proline ,free amino acid .soluble sugars .potassium and calcium was examined .the results are:Firstly , the accumulation of proline has two routes :ABA-dependence and ABA-independence under water stress ,and PLD/PLC participates the signal transduction routes of the accumulation of proline .Secondly , the accumulation of soluble sugars has two routes :ABA-dependence and ABA-independence under water stress, and every route has two situation :PLD/PLC-dependence and PLD/PLC-independence .ABA can't advance the accumulation of free amino acid, and PLD/PLC has some effects on ABA-independem route . ABA can't advance the accumulation of potassium, calcium, and PLD/PLC has no effects on ABA-independent route .3.The water stress condition were simulated by 15% PEG-6000, feeding the maizes seedlings roots with ABA. EGTA(Ca2* inhibitor),TFP (CaM inhibitor),the50contents of proline ,free amino acid ,soluble sugars ,potassium and calcium was examined ,the results show : Firstly, the accumulation of proline has two routes :ABA-dependence and ABA-independence under water stress, and Ca2+/CaM participates the signal transduction routes of the accumulation of proline .Secondly , the accumulation of soluble sugars has two routes rABA-dependence and ABA-independence under water stress, and Ca2+/CaM participates the signal transduction route of ABA-independence . ABA can't advance the accumulation of free amino acid, and Ca2+/CaM function in ABA-independent route. ABA can't advance the accumulation of K+, but Ca2+promote the accumulation of K+ within some concentration. ABA can advance the accumulation of Ca2+.4.The different water stress condition were simulated by 10% and 15% PEG-6000, feeding the maize seedlings roots with ABA, neomycin sulfate (PLD/PLC inhibitor), EGTA(Ca2+ inhibitor),TFP (CaM inhibitor),the content of Lea protein was examined by SDS-PAGE. The results indicate the induction of Lea protein has two routes :ABA-dependence and ABA-independence and PLD/PLC and Ca2YCaM have some effects in the course of Lea protein induction.
