| Fluidized bed offers significant advantages over other drying techniques. The temperature of the bed layers is uniform, and so is the temperature distributing along the moving direction of the com. And it is easy to control the temperature, then high heat and mass transfer rates are possible. So the heating velocity of the fluidized bed is high, and the high production can be achieved. It is also benificial that the quality of the com is not damaged. So we chose the fluidized bed as the dryer and mainly studied the following contents:1. A set of fluidized bed dryer has been designed, installed and adjusted.2. Using the corn as the material, experiment has been made to investigate the effect of all kinds of factors on the drying process(such as the drying air inlet temperature, the initial air humidity, the height of fluidized bed and the initial moisture content of the corn, etc.),as well as useful drying methods for grains that original conditions are different. It is very useful for the optimum design, control and operation, as well as the theoretical analysis of the grain drying.3. On the basis of the experimental research, a regressing mathematical model of the corn drying in a fluidized bed has been presented using the method of the statistics of math and physics. Then the model is tested, and the result is that the model prediction is in good agreement with the experiment data. It is very important for deeply understanding the mechanism of grain drying in a fluidized bed and the effect of all kinds of factors on the drying process.4. In order to decrease the energy consumption and the cost of drying process, the outlet air recirculation has been proposed and the way simulating the process has been discussed. |
