The inducing effects of different between day temperature and night temperature treatment to floral bud and floral stalk formation was systematically studied using late bolting Chinese cabbage cultivar 揧C?as experiment material under man-made controlling condition in climate chambers. The effects of changes in inducing conditions to Chinese cabbage plant development in different development stage. The result showedI .The inducing effects of different DIF to floral bud and stalk formation were different .The negative DIF to stalk formation was more effective than positive DIE and constant DIF, and its growth rate was faster. The period from the finish of treatment to plant flowering was shorter. If the treatment period is not long enough to provide the low temperature needed for the Chinese cabbage plant t floral bud formation, the plant could not flower. The inducing effects of floral bud formation was in contrast to the inducing effects of floral stalk formation. The sequence from the finish of treatment to the plant bolting was:positive DIF
