The shade tolerance and environmental benefits of ten species of indoor ornamental plants are studied by measuring their photosynthetic property. And the level of the shade tolerance of these plants is ordered. The expert system of indoor ornamental plants and the models of community structure of indoor mini-garden are established by matching different combination and collocation of indoor plants. The results are as follows: 1. On the basis of analyzing the light compensation point and light saturation point, leaf morphology and physiology of ten species, the shade tolerance of these plants has been ordered. The classification of the power of light utilization often species is presented through cluster analysis and discriminate analysis. 2. The environmental benefits of ten species are calculated by measuring the property of the change of daily photosynthetic. 3. The expert system of indoor ornamental plants is established, which has been laid the foundation for models of community structure of indoor mini-garden. 4. The models of community structure of indoor mini-garden are provided (put forward) according to the shade tolerance and ecophysiological properties of plants and the environmental benefits. As above-mentioned, the author thinks that it is greatly significant to seek shaded-tolerance species fitting in indoors vegetative and to use them scientifically in enhancing the quality of indoor environment and to increase the form of indoor plantscapes.
