High Voltage Electrostatic Field (HVEF) is a kind of man-made effective field. Now,it has been certified that this kind of energy can be absorbed by the plant and promote the growth of crops. This experiment took the seed and seedling of tomato,cucumber,lettuce,Chinese cabbage as the object in this research to study the change of seed vigor, the metabolic rule of the physiological-biochemical materials,the influence on the growth and morphological character of the plant.The result showed that: First,suitable HVEF can enhance not only the seed vigor but also the POD and CAT activity in the germinative stage,accelerate the decomposition of the stored matters and increased the content of total sugar or soluble protein in the seed,as well promote the accumulation of dry matter.Through the experiment,I think that the field intensity and treat- time are the keys to influence the seed vigor and put forward the suitable treat-parameter on these crops,the parameter range to tomato and cucumber is between I 500?500kv minim, the range to lettuce is between 1250?500kv minlm.If the treat-parameter exceed the range,the HVEF will limited the growth of the crops, the best effect can be gained by use 375 X 5kv ?minim to tomato,250X7.Skv minim to cucumber,125 X2Okv minim to lettuce and 375 X 1kv minim to the Chinese cabbage. Second,suitable HVEF can increase the number and area of leaf even the plant height and stem diameter.At the same time,whether or not it has been treated by the HVEF in the seed stage,if we use the suitable HVEF in the seedling stage can also do good at the plant.After the treatment by it,the expanding speed of tomato fruit became rapidly and low down the first node location of female flower besides add the number of female flowers.But it also showed that if the crops have been treated in the seed stage,we can shorten the treat-time in the seedling stage. Third, the suitable HVEF can raise the content of chlorophyll,accelerate the synthesis of carbohydrate and the degradation of soluble protein.It can not only enhance the foot and nitrate reductase activity but also the POD activity meanwhile to decreased the electrolytic leakage. Forth,from the anatomical view,it can be found that the thickness of leaf increased and cell volume expanded,as well the apparently change can be seen in the stomata cell diameter and density,the area of the medullar cavity cell became bigger than the control at the same time.HVEF can broaden the cambia zone in the stem and speed up the growth of the cell which make the cell develop well.These are all further explain the variations of the morphological character and the index of physiological-biochemical matters.
