Study On The Present Situation And Countermeasures Of Vegetation Restoration In Zhongning County

One of the areas which the ecological environment most affected by natural factors is the western arid zone. There is severe desertification in these areas. The increasingly barren soil, productivity decline, contributed to the soil and water loss, has brought great harm to people’s normal life. Lags far behind of economic and ecological benefits. The overall process of desertification is still not optimistic in the ZhongNing county. Management of ecological environment is the way to improve the image of ecological and economic development of a win-win situation. It is the way to make the western development come true.This article is based on vegetation in the County of northwest Ningxia recovery of research. Inspection in the County Water Authority, Forestry, Development and Reform Commission and other relevant Yearbook, terrain characteristics of the County, the climate and hydrological characteristics, soil and vegetation conditions and soil erosion and desertification for a detailed understanding of the current situation. Statistical studies of the vegetation in the County of vegetation recovery mode and the main areas of special recovery mode, recovery mode from which to draw valid vegetation in arid areas of future experience in other parts of the Northwest vegetation restoration. And for the emergence of the issues raised during the recovery process of vegetation corresponding countermeasures. Through the study of the overall restoration of vegetation in the County, the following conclusions:(1)Desertification in the County erosion mainly two types of wind and water erosion, desertification, respectively, accounted for 35.41 percent of the county’s total land area, 64.59%. The forest coverage rate is very low in the area due to the natural conditions. People use a wood fire heating, uprooting trees inherently makes the already low forest coverage rate is more reduced area. Without rational planning to reclaim wasteland for cultivation, and overgrazing accelerated the process of desertification.(2) The County began to respond to the call of the country’s vegetation restoration work, since the national large-scale implementation of the western development strategy. The vegetation restoration includes flat forest land, water diversion for irrigation, afforestation. The afforestation has become the most important initiatives to promote reconstruction in the County of vegetation recovery. Which take different approaches depending on the site conditions. Divided into ecological construction, artificial promote natural recovery, fencing and other models. According to the special area and then take over the vegetation includes three modes of recovery, the main city is divided into garden vegetation to restore the building, barren wasteland vegetation restoration, vegetation restoration.(3) Economic forest is one of the best economic forest types of organic combination able to quickly achieve social and ecological benefits. Suitable for a large area in the County widely planted forest is mainly wolfberry, apple, jujube, pressure sand melon. Wolfberry is obvious, especially soil and water conservation species, not only has a high value on its economic development, its usefulness is more prominent in terms of soil and water conservation. They can grow in poor soil areas, large areas of cultivation can adjust the climate, improve the ecological environment, water conservation, prevent natural disasters, but also a certain landscape benefits. Reasonable planted forest and vegetation recovery in terms of both the economic benefits and plays a vital role.(4) Based on the pattern of vegetation restoration in the County of research, as well as before and after comparison of the effectiveness of revegetation after appearing on some of the issues raised further development measures:1) Insisting on science and education to develop forestry, and vigorously promote the construction of anti-desertification, integrated farmland shelterbelt construction, rural village point green building, promote water-saving drought afforestation, land desertification; 2) Strengthen the protection of vegetation, to conduct a comprehensive severely degraded grassland fencing, grazing and firewood gathering prohibit use; 3) Make "suitable tree" as a basic principle, with a reasonable forest tree species, to avoid a single tree to tree, shrub and grass mixed three-dimensional structure is optimal; 4) Vigorously develop the forest industry development, give full play to its ecological and economic benefits; 5) Administering the forest, forest fire prevention work to strengthen, protect existing afforestation results.
