Zophobas morio belongs to insecta、Coleoptera、Tenebrionidae、Zophobas o Zophobas morio have high nutritional value.The Protein、amino-acid and energy of Zophobas morio compared with Tenebrio Molitor larva、Silkworm Chrysalis、Cricket、Ericerus Pela and Musca domestica are top. Now Zophobas morio are used as pet food (Now Zophobas morio mainly been used as high-end pet bait), however Zophobas morio in development and utilization field is not sufficient.There are reports that Zophobas morio could degradation on plastics. Zophobas morio have a broad development space as protein biology. Research on Zophobas morio’s biology、Physiology and biochemistry、feeding condition are not enough,and large-scale farming technologies are immature. This paper mainly study on feeding condition of Zophobas morio larvae and imago, and evaluates growth and fecundity of Zophobas morio hope to provide theoretical basis and technical references for large-scale farming of Zophobas morio. The Main results as follows:1 The result of screening different kind of green fodder for Zophobas morio larvae Wheat bran as basic feed, carrot、peel of watermelon leaves of asparagus lettuce、 leaves of Chinese cabbage as green fodder to feed 60d Zophobas morio larvae.The results shows that the groups feeding by " Wheat bran+Chinese cabbage leaves" has significantly faster growth rate than other experimental groups. The "Wheat bran: Chinese cabbage leaves=6:4" are the fastest-growing groups.2 The Result of study on different growth stages Zophobas morio larvae’s feeding condition Set different stages Zophobas morio larvae’s average growth rate as objective functions, Design orthogonal tests with the proportion of fish meal、proportion of bean flour、thickness of feed、proportion of green fodder、feed density five factors. The results show as follows:The proportion of fish meal、bean flour、green fodder have a significant effect on the growth rate of 0-30d Zophobas morio larvae, however the thickness of feed have no significant influence on it. The effect order of different facor is:proportion of green fodder >proportion of bean flour>the proportion of fish meal>feed density> thickness of feed. Combine the result of multiple compairson with the cost of feed.we get the best feeding condition:A3B3C3D2E2.The proportion of fish meal and bean flour in the feed have significant effect on the growth rate of 30-60d Zophobas morio larvae, proportion of green fodder and feed density have extremely significant effect on it, the thickness of feed have no significant influence on it. The effect order of different facor is:feed density> proportion of green fodder> proportion of bean flour>the proportion of fish meal> thickness of feed. Combine the result of multiple compairson with the cost of feed. Bean flour in the feed has a significant effect on this stage Zophobas morio larvae. We get the best feeding condition:A2B3C3D3E3.The feeding results of three growth stages show that different growth stages need different feeding condition. For 0-30d Zophobas morio larvae the green fodder and bean flour in the feed are most important factors for their growth. For 30-60d Zophobas morio larvae the feed density and bean flour in the feed are most important factors for their growth. For 60-90d Zophobas morio larvae thet feed density and the proportion of fish meal are most important factors for their growth.3 The effect of illumination and different kinds green fodder to fecundity of Zophobas morio Set two illumination:total darkness、the time of darkness=12h:12h,and result shows the fecundity of total darkness groups significant more than 12h:12h. The effects order of different types of green fodder for Zophobas morio imago’s fecundity Chinese cabbage leaves> asparagus lettuce leaves、carrot> watermelon peel group.4 The research on Optimization of feeding condition of Zophobas morio imago On total darkness condition, Wheat bran as basic feed, Chinese cabbage leaves as green fodder. To observe the effect of the proportion of fish meal、bean flour in the feed-thickness of feed、proportion of green fodder、feed density to the fecundity of Zophobas morio imago. Result shows that the proportion of fish meal、bean flour in the feed、thickness of feed- proportion of green fodder feed density have a very significant effect on the fecundity of Zophobas morio imago.The factor order that effect on Zophobas morio imago’s fecundity: Thickness of feed> feed density> bean flour in the feed> The proportion of fish meal> The proportion of green fodder. We get the best feeding condition after multiple comparison:A2B2C3D3E3.5 The evaluation of study on developmental duration of Zophobas morio Put the eggs of Zophobas morio and two 2 kinds of color Pattern of T. molitor in 25-30℃, RH50%-90% room to raise, put some wheat bran in culture vessel and feed green fodder every day. The durations of Zophobas morio eggs、larvae、Pupa、egg to imago are 9.33d、 82.67d、8.53d、100.53d.The durations of black T. molitor eggs、larvae、Pupa、egg to imago are8.67d、62.93 d、6.00 d、78.06 d; The durations of yellow T. molitor eggs、larvae、 Pupa、egg to imago are8.73d、60.40d、5.87d、75.80 d. The durations of Zophobas morio eggs、larvae、Pupa、egg to imago significant longer than that of T. molitor.6 The evaluation of study on growth rate of Zophobas morio Put the eggs of Zophobas morio and two 2 kinds of color Pattern of T. molitor in 25-30℃, RH50%-90% room to raise, put some wheat bran in culture vessel and feed green fodder every day. The larval instars of Zophobas morio are 11-16. The larval instars of black T. molitor are 11-12. The larval instars of yellow T. molitor are 10-12. Zophobas morio Zophobas grew more orderly than two 2 kinds of color Pattern of T. molitor.7 The evaluation of study on survival rate and growth rate of Zophobas morio larvae In 0-60d, the survival rate and growth rate of Zophobas morio are remarkably higher and faster than two 2 kinds of color Patterns of T. molitor.8 The evaluation of study on comparison food utilization of Zophobas morio larvae There is no significant difference in average food utilization between Zophobas morio larvae and two 2 kinds of color Patterns of T. molitor larvae.9 The evaluation of study on the hatching rate、pupation rate、emergence rate of Zophobas morio The hatching rate and pupation rate of Zophobas morio are 74.20%、 92.80%, and remarkably lower than two 2 kinds of color Patterns of T. molitor. The emergence rate of Zophobas morio is 98.00%, and remarkably higher than yellow T. molitor,but have no difference with black T. molitor pupa.10 The evaluation of study on the sex ratio of female to male、longevities and fecundity of Zophobas morio The sex ratio of female to male of Zophobas morio is 0.93,and remarkably smaller than two 2 kinds of color Patterns of T. molitor. The average longevities for female and male of Zophobas morio are 89.00d、102.27d, The average longevities for male is remarkably longer than female. The average longevities of female and male of Zophobas morio are shorter than T. molitor obviously. The average fecundity of Zophobas morio is 1083.47eggs/female, and very remarkably more than 2 kinds of color Patterns of T. molitor.
