Research On Regionalistic Renew Of External Morphology Of Urban Architectures In Cold Region

Architectures are the key factors to determine the whole images of cities. With the developing of update activities all over our nation and the world, thousand cities with a same face has almost become a common problem faced by many cities. So, the regional characteristics of cities formed through thousands years are gradually disappearing. Under the effects of global urban updating activities, the winter cities in the northern region of China have also carried out lots of update activities of the existed architectures'outside forms in the cities in recent years. Facing a large number of existed "international style" architectures, it is very important to update the outside morphology existing architectures to change the winter cities'images. In the mean, it is also important to us to associate the architectural updating to regional characteristics and create the urban environment with regional characters. Such idea is especially important for our northern winter cities with their special natural conditions and unique historical and cultural characteristics.In this dissertation, the existing architectures in the winter cities are the research objects. Then, the author has taken the natural climatic and socio-cultural factors that affect the regional expression of the architectural external morphology of updating activities as a starting point, and explored how to express the regional characteristics of the winter cities during the updating of the architectural outside morphologies. Firstly, the dissertation has explained the concept of regional update, analyzed the associated theoretic at home and abroad, and then pointed out the guiding significance of this study. Secondly, the dissertation has made an in-depth analysis of the geographical characteristics of winter city. Combined with the updating ways of architectural outside morphologies and the principals of regional updates, the dissertations also has generalized the key factors that effect the regionalized updating of the outside architectural morphologies in winter cities. Thus, let us have a certain cognitive of the regionalized updating of architectural outside morphologies in winter cities. Thirdly, taking the natural climatic affecting the regionalized updating of winter cities as breakthrough, this dissertation has made a concrete research——exploring the regionalized updating from adapting cold, wind and snow angles on the architectural interface level. Then, the author has analyzed the results and effects of the updating adapted to the cold climates to the architectural outside morphologies in the winter cities. Finally, taking the core idea of typology as start point, through analyzing the two steps of the deducting and transforming of the archetypes of the European classical architecture and traditional culture ontological bodies, this dissertation has proposed the concreted methods of how to express the regional culture of winter cities in the updating activities of outside architectural morphologies.This dissertation has proposed to carry out the regionalized creative strategies into the updating process of the outside architectural morphologies in winter cities through comparative analyzing a large number of examples. This will have great significance in studding the updating methods of outside architectural morphologies and let it express natural climates'effects and show regional cultural characters of the winter cities.
