With the development of city's modernization and improvement of people's living conditions, more and more buildings equipped with air conditioning systems have emerged in big and medium scale cities all around China. The problem of use of electric energy is not balance which in summer has become increasingly prominent. The role of ice storage technology on"shift peak load to low period"has been concerned by people. This is an important way to realize the"shift peak load to low period"of electrical wire and is also a main orientation for modern air-conditioning development.This paper describes the application of the domestic central system , and proposed the combination of residential central air-conditioning and ice storage operation mode. And ground-source heat pump system compared with them on economic. Works through a practical engineering of three different air-conditioning systems comparison which include domestic central air conditioning system, ice-storage air-conditioning system and ground-source system, we concluded:(1) Where the ice-storage air-conditioning system is applicable or not depends on whether the increased investment can be called back in a short time. If the recovery the increased investment can be called back in a short time, it is economic that the period is within five years. If the recovery period is longer than five years, we do not use even the cost is relatively lower. In different storage strategy comparison, we found that the part of the storage strategy has a better economy.(2) In practical engineering, the differences between the various regions of the electrical policy have a greater impact on the application of the ice storage technology. If there is a larger peak and valley price ratio, the storage technology will have a good economic benefit.(3) In the comparison of the various program, we found that the ground-source heat pump system has the highest investment than others, although it has the lowest running costs, and it is affected by the real project factors. Therefore the independent building of 100-600m2 is not suit for such system.To sum up, in the future the application and development of domestic central air-conditioning which we can use the ice storage. We should select the best designing systems and more energy-efficient operation mode. The electricity sector should also develop a better pricing police to encourage the application of storage technology. If the design selection is unreasonable, without the electricity police support, it will impede the development of storage technology.
