The paper presents the development of switched reluctance motor drive system (SRD forshort) at home and abroad, and tells the basic structure, the operational principle and thecharacteristic of the SRD system. Based on the analysis of SRD ideal linear model, theparameters can be gotten which influence the torque and speed of the motor. It makes thecontrol method vary from parameter to parameter.The paper uses an 8/6 pole, 0.75KW SRM as the research object and do a qualitativeanalysis to its mathematical model, and then designs the controller circuit, power converterand control software. The system contains the kernel with C8051F040 and the periphery parts,which are used to fulfill the rest function in the controller circuit. The structure of bipolarpower supply power converter is used in this system, and a analysis method is made for theparts used in the converter. Control system software is designed in the Keil C developmentenvironment and using C language to complete every work function compiling and debugging.Traditional current and speed double loop is used, and pre-finished the mathematicalsimulation in the Matlab/Simulink environment.The result shows the system is reasonable and achieves the target, and the motor couldoperate in stable state under the use of controller, power and software.
