Light steel structures are extensive used by our country for manufactureing cost less and construeting faster and more energy saving than other building struetures.The problems are created at the same time expecialy the connections of beam and column in light steel structures. This article introduces developing situation of light steel structures in our country and abroad and also introduces the research status about T-stub joints in our country and abroad. For T-stub joints in light steel structure,this paper does resrarch on its behavior by theoretical calculation and finite element analysis.In the theoretical calculation part,by refering the standard of light steel structure and the analysis of nature and foreign learner, this paper analysises all kinds of theoretical calculation about T-stub joints,on the basis of theoretical calculation methods,from numercal examples we gets the impact of the factors on the joint behavior. In the finite element analysis part,using the general finite element programming package of ANSYS10.0,the study of light steel structures beam-column T-stub connections is made,considering synthetically nonlinear, geometry nonlinear, geometry nonlinear.By monotonic loading on multiple models,we gets diagram of Mises stresses and displacesmeng diagram,the moment and corner and the M-θr curve of multiple models.from the results of the finite element analysis,we get the following scopes:from the scopes of species many series, T-stub joints have more rotational stiffness and untimate bearing capacity.Node destruction is main from the destruction of the flange of column and T-stub; T-stub joints in light steel structure is a semi-rigid joint;The rotational stiffness and untimate bearing capacity of T-stub joints is main influenced by thickness of T-stub flange and column flange,the height of beam, the configuration of horizonal stiffener and vertical interval of bolts.The other factors have little impact on the joint.Under the impact of various factors on T-stub joints,proposes corresponding design advices. In this study,by theoretical calculation and ANSYS finite element program,the author does in-depth research on T-stub joints in light steel structures and analysis the influence on the bearing capacity and the rotational stiffness by various kinds of factors under monotonic loading, the conclusion provide valuable data and reference for the research and application of the light steel T-stub joints with the theory and design method research.
