A green building is achieved by rigorously conforming pertinent regulations and codes throughout the entire lifecycle of the building, including pre-design, design, construction, occupancy, and demolition. Whilst a lot of researches have been focused on the design phase, the industry has not acquired sufficient knowledge about green construction site management. This study aims to make contribution to this problem.Being one of the most influential green building rating systems, LEED has just been adapted for use in China recently. The construction industry in China is not technically or financially prepared to take up this process. This study has compared the traditional construction site management and the green construction site management recommended by LEED and accordingly developed a green construction site management process that is suitable for use by the China's construction industry. This process has been employed in the construction project of the new College of Architecture and Art Building, Hefei University of Technology (HFUT).
