Since the 20th century 90, transportation corridor among HongKong, Macao and mainland, especially the transportation corridor between HongKong and east coast region of Pearl River Delta, was developed significantly. It promotes the development of economic interaction of HongKong and Pearl River Delta. However, transportation connection between HongKong and west coast region of Pearl River Delta is not very well, and it has affected the socio-economic development of Great Pearl River Delta. The construction project of HongKong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will promote socio-economic development with project feasibility analysis. At the same time, problems have arisen in traffic impact analysis of large-scale construction projects.Practice of land development traffic impact analysis in abroad shows that TIA is an effective tool to coordinate transportation construction and land use in micro-level. The objective of TIA is evaluation and analysis of the impact of additional traffic on surrounding traffic networks after project completed. And then, mitigation measures were proposed in order to keep level of service in a satisfactory level and reduce the negative impact of the project.In the context of HongKong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge construction, take affected area of HongKong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge construction as study area; determine traffic impact analysis of HongKong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge construction as study object; this dissertation analyzed present status and planning of socio-economic development and comprehensive transportation in HongKong, Macao and Pearl River Delta after summarize the existing methods, predicted traffic volume of the bridge with four-stage method. At last, with analysis in the following aspects: regional traffic development impact with"Development and Reform Plan of Pearl River Delta", capacity of Hong Kong-Zhunhai-Macao Bridge, additional traffic volume of HongKong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and impact on nearby corridors, this dissertation considers that the capacity of HongKong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge satisfies predicted traffic volume very well.This dissertation will make further research and learning in traffic impact analysis.
