Nowadays, modern electronic system tends to be more powerful and more complex, as a result, it is composed of more subsystems which need lots of electric contacts. The environment in which electronic system works is hardly avoided dust pollution, which will be brought into the contact interface by the movement of the contacts and then affect the electric contact. Because of the development of the industry, the atmosphere has more and more dust, so it's important to research the affects of dusts to electric contact. The dust has complex elements and so it not only erodes the contact interface chemically but also affects which mechanically and physically By the simple physical model, the mechanical and physical effect of particle on electrical contact is researched, which means the exist of the particles reduce the mechanical area and then increase the resistance. And the movement of the particles is also studied. The research study the mechanical and physical affect under static and dynamic situation. The precision location measure system is used to research that the effects of the particle on the contact resistance under static situation. And the dynamic situation means measuring in the simulating fretting environment. The devices in hand can't locate the particles directly So we have to work with some means which can locate the particles with pasted photos. And together with the changing resistance and the elements of the fretting area, we can prove that the particles also affect the resistance under dynamic situation. At the same time, the role of the surface have been researched and analyzed.
