Improving the quality of life and considering about the living environment has become an inevitable demand when the economy had developed to a certain degree. Residential living room is the place of main activities in the family, and lighting design, as an important component of living room interior design, was more and more noted. Based on this context, optimizing research of artificial lighting for residential living room light environment has important practical significance. This paper was a part of"optimization of indoor light environment protection technology research,"the son subject of the national scientific and technological support plan"living area and indoor light environment optimal protection of key technologies". Research and experimental was the main methods, and this paper compared a large number of lighting programs of artificial lighting light environment for residential living room, through the analysis and study of experimental results, established a residential living room lighting environment comprehensive evaluation indice system, and artificial lighting environment optimization ways of typical living room was proposed.The main jobs of this paper were obtained as followed:â‘ Representative survey of residential households in Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing were done, and much first-hand information of artificial lighting in the living room was received. The data was analyzed by comparing with the data of 1998 and 2001, and the living room of artificial light environment for residential development trends,characteristics and problems were summed up.â‘¡A artificial lighting environment experimental platform of residential living room and 10 indices related to human comfort were established according to the findings of three cities. The orthogonal test program was determined after the analysis of the 44 kinds of lighting arrangement in the model. Simulation and evaluation experiments were carried out according to the established orthogonal experimental program. Based on the results of ANOVA, optimal ways corresponding to every index in residential living room were determined.â‘¢The weights of 10 indices of lighting environment evaluation system of artificial lighting in residential living room were determined by the Analytic Hierarchy Process. The significance tests of the correlation between indices were made and the relevant information among the indicators was removed. The comprehensive evaluation system of artificial lighting environment in residential living room was established. Finally, based on the results of ANOVA, optimal ways corresponding to the comprehensive evaluation indice in residential living room were determined.This paper based on the experimental data, and the results was real and reliable; the proposed optimal ways of artificial lighting environment in residential living room could provide strong technical support to lighting design in the future. The established evaluation indice system not only could be used to the living room environmental assessment of artificial light, but also has guiding significance for evaluation ways of other lighting environment.
